Case Study
Canadian Grand Prix
On June 11, 1995, the final of the Formula 1 was held at the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit. When champion Jean Alesi won the race, the public, overcome with joy, rushed the track before the competition was entirely finished. As a result, the public’s safety was in danger.
The next year, BEST took over security for the event. Three hundred agents were put in place to cordon off the perimeter.
Despite this significant force, we were asked to provide wo hundred additional agents as reinforcements just eight hours before the event. BEST promptly responded to the request. The client was extremely satisfied with the team’s timeliness, efficiency and professionalism.
Al Gore’s visit to Montréal
During Al Gore’s visit to Montréal, our BEST agents guaranteed his personal security. After inspecting the premises in order to implement the most effective security measures, we successfully handled this VIP’s motorcade and security for the duration of his stay.
Ski Resort Strike
During December-January 2006, a strike was called at a regional ski resort, stopping work for 1,105 employees. Nearly one hundred strikers were stationed on the ski runs every day to bar visitors from accessing the site. The resort’s equipment was at risk and the runs were being blocked at high season.
BEST intervened to manage the crisis. We organized transportation logistics and deployed a large number of agents to the site, placing them strategically.
Due to their knowledge and expertise, our agents managed to restore and keep the peace during negotiations, all while ensuring the continuity of the resort’s operations. After a 33-day strike, an agreement was negotiated and operations resumed.
