Our training courses are taught by a trainer with over ten years of teaching experience and with solid field expertise. Emphasis is placed on being considerate and compassionate, as well as acknowledging the reality of the work of a security agent.
Training center
The training center is located in the heart of the Kolossal security agency. Offering every kind of practical installation, the training centre also offers the proper environment for learning the profession. Created in 2008, it has allowed us to train over 800 agents with over 1400 hours of training amassed so far. While it always aims to offer a quality training program, the centre also provides a refresher program for its entire workforce. These courses are given to small groups in order to foster an effective learning experience.
COURSE SUMMARY

This 16-hour training course introduces the essential knowledge and requirements of the agent’s job in Quebec. This course is open to current and potential Kolossal employees.
This course is focused on:
- The agent’s role and duties;
- Professional ethics;
- Customer service;
- Communications;
- Writing reports;
- Rules, regulations and procedures for surveillance of people in health care environments.
Our agents professionally ensure the security of the people and the equipment on the premises.
16 hours in length, this course is offered to Kolossal agents in order to help them be more effective in the field.
We recommend that our agents participate in year-round continuing education courses. This option is available for every course offered by the centre, in order to ensure the optimal quality of our services.

First Aid – EAD External Automatic Defibrillator and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
This course covers the basics of first aid in the workplace and of the use of the external automatic defibrillator.
This 16-hour course is recognized by the CSST.

WHMIS training
This course covers the basics regarding identification in the WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- How to recognize and differentiate the different pictograms;
- Understanding their meaning;
- Ascertaining the various health and safety issues related to hazardous materials, both while in use and while in storage.
Our lieutenants/captains oversee the operations, so that every event proceeds calmly and efficiently.
The Kolossal training center offers monthly training courses that are open to the public. These courses are offered by module, according to the course chosen. We offer courses ranging from 8 to 240 hours.

If you wish to take one of our courses, you must first meet one of our representatives in order to submit your candidacy to an evaluation. We must indeed ensure ourselves that every student meets the minimum requirements for becoming a security agent, thus facilitating our hiring process.
